TWO COMICS, ONE VOICE
The stand-up of Bob Smith and Eddie Sarfaty

performed by
Eddie Sarfaty

Celebrating the release of Bob Smith's sharp and funny novel
Remembrance of Things I Forgot.

October 13th Is going to be a riot -- and an evening you'll not forget. Both Sarfaty and Smith have had long, successful careers as stand-up comics and writers, and between them have been featured on The Tonight Show, The Today Show, Comedy Central, HBO, and Logo. Fans will remember these two funny guys from the Toronto's We're Funny That Way Comedy Festival, the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal and as members of the troupe Funny Gay Males.

In 2007 Bob Smith was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's Disease, which has slurred his speech. But to keep bringing Bob's brilliant sense of humor to his fans, his friend Eddie Sarfaty is helping him out. Eddie will be performing his own razor-sharp material and Bob's hilarious stand-up as well.

Immediately following the show Bob will be on hand to sign copies of his book.

Eddie Sarfaty has appeared on The Today Show, Comedy Central's Premium Blend, Logo's Wisecrack, The Joy Behar Show and can be seen in the documentary, Laughing Matters.

Eddie performs nationally at major comedy clubs, on college campuses, on cruise ships, and at LGBT events. Eddie's first book, a collection of humorous essays entitled Mental: Funny in the Head received accolades from esteemed writers Michael Cunningham, Edmund White, and Christopher Bram and is currently in its third printing.

Bob Smith has the distinction of being the first openly gay comedian to appear on The Tonight Show and also have his own HBO Comedy Half-hour. Other TV appearances include Politically Incorrect, The Late, Late Show, Entertainment Tonight, and Comedy Central's Out There. He has written for MAD-TV. He is the author of the Lambda Award winning Openly Bob, and his first novel Selfish & Perverse (2007) a comedy set in Los Angeles and Alaska was
released to excellent reviews.

--"Smith takes an absolutely hysterical romp through our achingly recent history. His characters are instantly recognizable in their queer archetypes without being stereotypical He's not afraid of balancing humor and sadness and manages to combine youthful optimism with the cynicism of age." --Publisher's Weekly

About Kristen Becker

As a producer/performer, Becker started the Dykes Of Hazard (DOH) Comedy Tour, and three years after its inception, DOH is taking giant steps into the hetero clubs hitting venues such as the House of Blues, New Orleans and M Bar Hollywood. Can you say crossover artists? Apparently allergic to sleep, in her hometown of Buffalo, NY, in an effort to build a comedy scene, Kristen kicked off the Doin' Time Comedy Showcase, providing a stage for the artform, in a city that needed a good laugh. Three years later multiple open mic rooms have popped up across the city and The Tuesday night Showcase remains a staple in the Rust Belt.
