Doin’ Time Comedy and Canvas@1206 present Buffalo’s newest weekly comedy open mic—Stand-Up Blast Off!—premiering Monday, January 9th at 8:00pm, 1206 Hertel Ave. in North Buffalo.

Stand-Up Blast Off! gives people a chance to experience comedy from either side of the microphone every Monday night from 8:00pm to 10:00pm. You never know who will take the stage from first-timers to seasoned pros working on new material. The free show, hosted by Buffalo comedy staple Kristen Becker and newcomer Jamie Bono, promises to give comedians and audiences of all ages hours of gut-busting laughter.

Canvas@1206—which has quickly established itself as one of Buffalo’s best places for a relaxing evening of food, drinks, and music—brings comedy to North Buffalo’s bustling Hertel Ave. Doin’ Time Comedy is excited to expand on their already successful lineup of comedy shows, including Buffalo’s longest-running showcase, presented every week for the last XX years at Nietzche’s in Buffalo’s Allentown neighborhood.

“Comedians need audiences,” says Kristen Becker, comedian and producer of Buffalo’s longest-running stand-up showcase, “and Doin’ Time Comedy audiences come to laugh.”

Stand-Up Blast Off! premieres Monday, January 9th. The show is free, open to all ages (performers and audience members, alike), and begins at 8:00pm. Performers are asked to arrive before 7:30pm and see the host to sign up.
